The main purpose of this blog is to provide valuable information and content about IP networking technologies and information security. I believe that the resources offered here can be useful for a range of individuals, from normal home network users up to networking professionals.
I decided to build this site in order to record down some of my knowledge and experience acquired over the last 10 years in the networking field. As a network and security engineer of IP networks, I came across various technologies implemented in the networks I work. Some examples include different routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS), MPLS technologies (Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs), security technologies (IPSEC VPNs, encryption, IDS systems), Voice over IP, Quality of service, wireless technologies etc.
Inherent in any technology are various problems that arise during the implementation or operation phases. That’s why I included also a ‘Troubleshooting Problems’ Category in which I try to share with you several network problems I encountered and the solutions used to overcome them.
